Independent Facilitator
Someone in your corner who works only for you
An independent facilitator is chosen and directed by the participant, and — by design — isn't providing any of the other services in your IPP or employed by anyone who does. That independence is the point: the role exists to help you make informed decisions about your individual budget and to find, access, and coordinate the supports your plan calls for. We can serve in that role for your family.
What the role covers
- Identifying immediate and long-term needs

- Leading, joining, or advocating for you in person-centered planning and IPP development
- Obtaining the services and supports you've identified

Build a budget and a life that follow your child's own goals
California's Self-Determination Program gives families more freedom, control, and responsibility in choosing the services and supports that meet the objectives in an Individual Program Plan. Since July 2021 it has been open to everyone eligible for regional center services — but getting enrolled and building a spending plan is its own learning curve. We walk it with you.

Know what your paperwork really says
We review your student's most recent school reports, evaluations, and IEP or 504 plan — then give you clear feedback and recommendations covering academic performance, social-emotional and behavioral development, and compliance.
A plan tailored to your family
We start by listening — to your concerns, your child's situation, and your goals. Then we map effective next steps, from educational support at school to services at home.

Support at whatever level feels right: coaching before the meeting, attending beside you during it, and reviewing everything together after — so nothing gets lost in the room.

In-home goals, routines, and behavior strategies — plus highly trained providers for respite care, communication, behavior, and self-care support.
